Tresor Rosé
The Domaine Le Temple de Tourteyron, now run by Jean-Pierre, Mélissa and Loïc , third and fourth generations of the BERGEY Family, has a history that dates back to the Order of the Templars.
After many developments, the story continues with the arrival in 2010 of the "Fourth Generation" of the BERGEY Family, Mélissa, oenologist, and Loïc, viticulture and oenology technician. The farm has 100 hectares of land (vines, marshes, woods) including 24 hectares of vines in AOC Médoc and a herd of Charolais suckler cows.
Domaine Le Temple de Tourteyron has belonged to the BERGEY family since 1932 . Located north of the Médoc appellation, between river and ocean, in the town of Valeyrac, nearly 75 kilometers north-west of Bordeaux, this estate has 100 hectares, including 24 hectares of vines in production.
Le Temple de Tourteyron produces red wines claiming the AOC Médoc, made from its characteristic grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot Noir (48%) and Petit Verdot (2%).
However, our vineyard differs from the traditional driving style of the appellation (10,000 vines / hectare) by a planting density of 5500 vines / ha (78%) and 6500 vines / ha (22%).
Domaine Le Temple de Tourteyron generously and hard-working two complementary agricultural activities that were not very common until recently: viticulture and cattle breeding.
